Board of Directors

The ISW institute is overseen by a board of directors, which is tasked with determining the focus and direction of research, as well as the distribution of resources. The board is also responsible for safe-guarding the quality of research. These duties prompt the following specific responsibilities:

• Monitoring the functioning of the management team;
• Determining the focus of research carried out within the institute;
• Approval of a strategic research plans, which is compiled on an annual basis by a core group of researchers at the institute;
• Final approval of an annual report;
• Evaluation and safe-guarding of research conducted by the institute, by means of the annual report and further information obtained from the faculties;
• Budget approval.
